Just a quick post before I go and watch the Oscars (post to come on the fashion..that should be interesting).
I've been thinking about attending Blogher '09. For those of you who don't know what the BlogHer conference is, it's a conference where everyone in the blogging world can go and learn more about blogging, while meeting the friends they've met online. The event will be held in Chicago this year (only my favorite place in the world) on July 24-25th.
Last year, I sat and read different blogger's posts on the Blogher conferences and the parties that they attended and it looked like so much fun. That and an amazing way to meet some of the people that you've gotten to know online. Also, Dooce was there. This year she's expected to be there again and MckMama may be there too. Sounds like fun.
I can get a great deal on the tickets to the event as I am a student and my ID entitles me to an amazing discount. The only thing I would have to pay for besides the conference would be plane ticket and lodging (which can be quite expensive in Chi-town). My question to all of you is, who's going to Blogher '09?
I would love to go (in case you didn't get that already), but I fel that I would probably need to "know" one person who was going first. I am 18 after all. That and the fact that getting my dad to agree to this may be a little complicated. "Hey dad, I want to go meet a bunch of people I talk to online in at a conference. It's in Chicago!" Somehow I think I may have a little more explaining than that to do.

Oh, Oscars are on. Must go and watch people that I want to interview at this type of thing one day. Yeah that's right, I'll be an interviewer on the Red Carpet!

Hmmm....i don't know. I sorta offered to watch my friend's baby that weekend...but blogher sounds way more fun!
Hubs is cool with me going across town to meet up for dinner - going to Chicago - not so much.
I'm thinking he's afraid I'll never want to come home :-)

if we weren't about to move into a new home i just might. i can say that i will do everything in my power to go next year. maybe i'll see you there :)
