Just a quick post to say "hi" and "I'm alive"! Although if you've been following me on Twitter, than you know that A) I am very much alive and B) I have been quite busy doing fantastic fun prom/graduation type things!
This past Saturday I drove the hour drive and got my prom dress! Well actually I ordered it at the store and it should be here on the 16th. Prom is the 21st and they still have alterations to do on the dress. Cutting my time a little short am I? The dress is beautiful though and I can't wait to show you pictures! When I was trying it on, just for fun the woman put a tiara on my head. And then she put a bridal vail on me and I fell in love. Do you think it would be strange if I just wore the vail around the house? It was so pretty! The woman jokingly (or at least I hope she was) told me that I could buy the vail if I wanted; somehow I think my dad might have a heart attack if I came home with a prom dress and a vail, but hey that's just my opinion. He might also very well take me to the mental hospital instead. Keep your eyes out for a post that will have the 4 different dresses I tried on and you get to try and guess the dress I chose. A prize MAY be involved....
Saturday I also started planning for my graduation party. I made my list of people and lets just say that I hope my backyard fits everyone! So far I have over 100 people. Thats a lot. We are going to do a "afternoon by the poolside" type thing, so it's not super fancy, but it will still be nice and I can wear a sundress! My neighbors will LOVE all the traffic I plan on bringing in here. More details (and pictures!) to come. I started looking at invitations and realized that those things are expensive! I'm not getting married, I don't need to spend $300 + on invites that will probably be thrown away after a few weeks. That said, one of my awesome former teachers twittered me (Thank you Twitter and Ms. P, now Mrs. H) and told me that she made her invitations to her wedding to cut costs. I went to Michaels (The craft store) today and bought 3 40 count DIY invites for under $100.00. They're adorable and I can't wait to make them, I just have to come up with something cute to write on them.
This Saturday I will be driving down to Miami to go see Britney Spears' Circus concert!! SO EXCITED! Seriously I have wanted to see Brit Brit in concert since I was 9. I find it somewhat funny that almost 10 years later, I'm getting to! I'll be taking TONS of pictures for sure. I've seen some previews on PerezHilton.com and the show looks so fantastic.
Tomorrow and Thursday I will be with the Twins in the afternoon. Needless to say, I'm excited about that also. I haven't seen them in two weeks and I'm sure they've grown bigger. Hopefully this time baby L won't throw up all over me. I learned my lesson though and now keep a change of clothes in my car for that very reason. I just have to remember to put them back in the car tomorrow morning as I used them the other day when I took A to the duck pond. Polo's + Jeans do not equal good playground and duck pond type clothing.
So yup, that's been my exciting life for the past few days. My college friends start to come home next week for spring break and I can't wait to see them! I saw one of them today at Target as she was home from the college that I'll be going to next year. I'm so lucky that she'll be there to help me out and to be my "big sister" in college. Speaking of college, I can't believe that I graduate in less than two months! It's a little scary that this chapter in my life is closing, but at the same time I'm anxious and somewhat ready to see what the new chapter brings.

Yay, we're finally close to getting pictures!
You should buy the tiara at least.
Tiaras are always fun.
Kelsey,
I'm glad you're happy with the invitations. You should post pictures of your preparations. Enjoy these times! :)
Oh what an exciting time in your life!
Can't wait to see the dress and I'll be looking for my invite in the mail! ;)
So cool about concert! Have fun!
I totally love Britney's new album - it's got a much more techno dancy feel, I think.
At my dance group we did this big number to circus, using props like bubbles and ribbons to get the circus feel across.
It was really good, no doubt the actual concert will be even more awesome!
I'm v. jealous.
Forget the vail and grab the tiara!
Be a princess enjoying the adventure of a lifetime - a vail only lasts one day.
